The Story Behind LyreLaike
Choosing the name LyreLaike marked a new chapter in my creative life. It represents a blend of musical heritage and personal identity, inspired by the lyre, an ancient string instrument known for its rich, melodic tones. This name reflects my commitment to crafting music that honors tradition while embracing modern sounds. Laike is a old Yorkshire word meaning play. Many early memories begin with 'lets go and Laike out'
The artist name LyreLaike represents a space I am able to write personally about nature, and how is connects personally to my own experience. As I am writing LyreLaike music from the heart I hope it will resonate with your experience of being connected to nature.
The logo was made out of a few vector shapes, inspired by a few of Derwentwater in the Lake District. It is this simplicity without ego that I hope to carry forward in the music itself. I find it so satisfying
